The Romanian Top 100 is the national airplay-based singles chart of Romania. It is weekly and it started running in 1996. It is recognized as an official chart by the European division of Billboard, Music & Media. From 2000 to 2002 there are no archives left on Romanian Top 100's official website. The first registred number-one of this decade in Romania was "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias and the last one was "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas. In the 2000s, there were 96 songs to peak at number-one. The greatest hit of this decade would be 2007's "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado.

The most successful song of the year was Class's "Luna mi-a zâmbit", no.1 for seven consecutive weeks. This is also the year with the most chart topping hits, with 17 songs reaching the top of it. Moldavian band O-Zone had two number ones.
